1-B December News
Christmas Break is almost here! This
last week of school will be very busy. Be sure to check this week’s (and last
week’s) Thursday folder newsletter for information concerning the Christmas
Concert—attire, arrival time, etc.
Puppet show—as you may or may not
know, both of the first grade classes do a puppet show for the kindergarten classes
and parents to watch. Ms. Chadwick’s class already did theirs, Pirate Pete, and we will do ours in
January. It is called Pirate Pete’s Giant
Adventure and is the sequel to Pirate
Pete. I have had the kids indicate which parts they would like to play and
will send home their lines very soon. Over Christmas Break, please have your
child work on memorizing their lines. It should be lots of fun!
Book orders—sorry! Sending home
Scholastic forms in November just completely slipped my mind and then I didn’t
send home the December forms due to the fact that we had just had the Book
Fair. I promise I will get back on track in January!
Classroom volunteers—the January
sign-up calendar will be out today. So come down to the classroom to sign up
for January time slots.
Frog Bog—here we are at the end
of December and almost the whole class has made it into the Bog! The last few
are getting closer each day. Keep practicing the words that are sent home—even if
your child has finished the first 300 words. Attached is the picture from
November.
Have a joyous Christmas and a relaxing Break!
