Mrs. Anderson (5A - Mt. Baker)
Cheri Anderson
This school year marks my 10th year teaching at All Saints School. Each year brings new adventures and experiences and this year I join the 5th grade teaching staff with Mr. Roloff as my teaching partner. I'm sure you will all join me in welcoming him to All Saints!
This year marks my 25th year of teaching, and I have taught in Olympia and Billings, MT. I returned to my roots here in the Northwest in 2000, and began working at All Saints in 2002. I am the second of six, and the only girl in the bunch! My family attended Holy Cross parish, and we all went to school in Tacoma's north end, where my mom and dad still live in the house we grew up in.
I have been married to Hal for 21 years, and you will find us both at many of the school functions! He's been a great support to me throughout the years. When we aren't at work, you will find us taking care of our two lively Boston Terriers and working around our home on South Hill. We enjoy going to Husky football games and camping.
Art is my passion, and I love to share my knowledge with my students. I enjoy museums, and I take many workshops, both for personal growth, and to learn how to incorporate art into my classroom. I love to read, and hope to instill that enthusiasm for reading in my students.

Here are my Bostons, Koki and Niki, resting between bouts of raising cane! That's my laptop they are sitting on. They know they can get away with anything!

Mr. Roloff (5B - Hurricane Ridge)
Thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome. Even though this is my first year teaching here at All Saints, I feel like I’m coming home. My family and I have been a part of this community for nearly a decade during which Erica, our daughter, attended All Saints Catholic School (ASCS) from Pre-K to the present. Additionally, my wife and I have been involved with numerous All Saints Parish ministries and school fundraising activities throughout this entire period. Being selected to become a member of the ASCS faculty meshes my personal, professional, and spiritual life together. Needless to say, I am excited to bring my acquired instructional gifts to bear within this parish as a member of what is going to be an exceptional 5th grade team, and consider myself blessed to have such a great friend and partner as Mrs. Anderson to work with.
In a life prior to teaching that now sometimes seems far away, I spent eleven incredible years as an Army officer. My varied career highlights include combat operations during Desert Storm, transportation and election support in Haiti, and seaport operations in Western Europe and Scandinavia. Most of my career was focused on training and molding young service members for success, so teaching was the logical next step as a civilian.
I earned my B.S. in Political Science with a minor in German from Eastern Washington University (near my home town of Medical Lake) on an Army ROTC scholarship. After departing the service, in a move to spend more time with my family, I earned my M.A. in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University in Virginia.
This upcoming year will be my eighth year teaching. My first two years were spent in the Bethel School District at the sixth grade level, during which I felt the undeniable call to Catholic school teaching. I therefore pursued and won a position within the Archdiocese of Seattle Catholic Schools, and began my Catholic school teaching experience at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in Federal Way, where I spent the last five years honing my craft and falling in love with the Catholic schools community.
I hope to impart the following to my students: a love for God, and the desire to seek always to have a personal relationship with Him; a love of history, and to seek the truths of it; a passion for the written word, the affinity for it as an art form, and the ability to use it to express themselves in a way that is a credit to them, their parents, and their school.
