8th Grade:

Service Opportunity:

Mrs. Shelli needs your help!!! She is looking for people willing to assist the adult childcare volunteer in the nursery one Sunday every month or two from 8:30 to 10:30. Some duties may include: cleaning toys, wiping down counters and other hard surfaces, and vacuuming, but the majority of your time would be spent PLAYING with adorable little children. Also, from time to time, we hold Parish events at which we like to provide childcare. These events could be any time of the week or weekend, and are usually around one to three hours. Shelli maintains a list of childcare volunteers to which the staff members can refer to find help for these events. Please contact Shelli at the Parish office 845-7521 to sign up or for more information.

Grading Scale for Middle School Accelerated Reader:

Student point goals have been set based upon the score the student earned on the Star Assessment.  This  Star Assessment score appears on an Accelerated Reader chart which correlates the reading zone and a point goal amount to be earned in 6 week period. 

 

Grades will be assigned as follows:

93-100%    Exceeds grade level expectations:  student exceeds their personal point goal by 150% or better

83- 92%     Meets and often exceeds grade level expectations:  student exceeds their personal point goal by 125%-149.9%.

73-82%      Meets grade level expectation:  student reaches 100% to 124.9% of their personal point goal.

60-72%      Needs improvement meeting grade level expectation:  student reaches 75-99.9% of their personal goal.   

Below 60%  Unsuccessful meeting grade level expectations:  student reaches less than 74.9% of their personal goal.
