School Info: Curriculum

“All Saints Catholic School is a faith-based community that inspires children to live the gospel, promote academic excellence, and encourages families and parishes to nurture children to be apostles of Christ.”

All Saints School provides educational opportunities from Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade; our classes are coeducational, with two classes per grade level. Our faculty is Washington State Certified. We have 21 classroom teachers, 5 specialists, 3 resource teachers and a teacher’s aide. The enrollment is currently 451 students. Our school is reflective of the Puyallup valley demographics with about 10% of our population, minority students. Approximately 92% of our students are Catholic, however, children of all faiths are welcomed.

All Saints School offers an AM Pre-Kindergarten program that is in session from 8:30 AM to 11:05 AM and a PM Pre-Kindergarten program that runs from 12:05 PM to 2:40 PM. The class limit for the Pre-Kindergarten program is 18 students per session. Our Kindergarten program is a full day program, with a class size limit of 25 students per class. First through eighth grade has a class size limit of 27 students per class. The average student/teacher ratio is 22:1.

All Saints School strives to offer our students a curriculum that is challenging, thought provoking and one that stretches the students’ capabilities. It is an academic program that is rich in language arts, math, science and social studies. These core academics are integrated and intertwined with our values and morals. All our students receive daily religious instruction that allows each of them religious expression. To compliment our core subjects we have classes such as physical education, library, music, technology, and Spanish, for students in 3rd through 8th grade. We also offer a Band program in correlation with Bellarmine High School for students in 4th through 8th grade. All Saints School offers before and after school care for all students and a childcare program for our Pre-Kindergarten students.

We offer a wide variety of unique activities and programs that enhance our curriculum. Our students participate in school liturgies, prayer services, Stations of the Cross, Advent and Lenten Penitential services, May Crowning, altar servers, student faith families, and 7th and 8th grade retreats. Our students participate in a variety of community service projects including a Penny Drive that raises money for the All Saints Parish and St. Martin of Tour’s Parish Food Banks, Adopt-a-family, Thanksgiving baskets, and various other outreach projects.

All Saints School’s 6th grade students attend Camp Hamilton for a week of outdoor education, which enhances the 6th grade science curriculum. Our 8th grade students produce and perform a spring musical. Our students celebrate Catholic Schools Week in January and Spirit Week in May. In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in CYO sport programs, Math Counts, and arts and cultural programs.

Our students in 4th and 7th grades take the Washington State Assessment Test and students in 3rd and 5th grades take the CTBS (California Test of Basic Skills) Standardized Test. We use the WASL and CTBS, as one indicator of assessing our students’ capabilities.

All Saints School is proud to be accredited by the following organizations: Pacific Association of Independent Schools, Washington State Approval, National Catholic Education Association, Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges, and Washington Catholic Education Association.
