After graduating from high school, I went to work at a hospital as a dishwasher in the lab. I later went into training to become a lab technician. After completing my courses, I moved to Washington and worked in a doctor's office for five years. I then took time off to raise a family.

I went back to work as a secretary for public schools. I have taken several office and computer courses at Pierce and Tacoma Community Colleges. I have also taken courses in ethnic and discrimination psychology and WAC. I have been the administrative assistant at All Saints School since 1994. My family have been members of All Saints Parish since 1971.
