| Pre-Kindergarten
(A.M. and P.M.):
Mrs. Linda Paige
I’m
excited to be teaching Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) at All Saints.
I love All Saints School and its focus on faith and excellence
in academics.
My
teaching philosophy emphasizes the following:
- Ensuring
that your child enjoys their first year of school and understands
what they need to do to be a successful learner.
- Providing
an academic foundation for Kindergarten - Despite their
young age, Pre-K students are capable of learning a great
deal.
- Involving
the parents in the educational process - Our church teaches
that parents are the first teachers of their children, and
I want to support you in that role.
Pre-K
is the foundation of your child’s academic experience,
and this is why my program emphasizes preparing children for
successful academics. Each child comes to Pre-K with a different
base of knowledge. I try to tailor the classroom experience
for each child so that they can rise to the next level. Using
developmentally appropriate methods, and emphasizing experience
– children learn best by doing – our classroom
will make sure that your child’s first year of school
at All Saints is fun and productive. My goal is to foster
in your child a love of learning.
I
graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor
of Arts in Teaching, a focus in Reading and a minor in Spanish.
I began teaching in 1993 in grades one and three for the Auburn
School District. I've been teaching Pre-K at All Saints since
2005.
My
husband and I have been active members of All Saints Parish
since 1994. Our daughters attend All Saints School and really
enjoy it. Our family enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending
time together. |
