Mrs. Markham earned her B.A. in Literature from the University of California, Riverside. From there, she earned her ELA teaching credential at the University of Redlands, her Masters in Education from Chapman University, and most recently her School Administrator credential from Eastern Washington University.

Rachel and her family moved to Washington in the summer of 2021, and she began teaching at ASCS in the fall of 2021. Her oldest sons are soon to be ASCS graduates, and her youngest son is in the ASCS elementary school program.

In addition to teaching our Middle School ELA (6-8 grades) program, Mrs. Markham also teaches the 8th grade Yearbook elective and serves as the 7th grade homeroom and Religion teacher. Her favorite event of the year is the 7th grade Living Stations of the Cross production, which takes place on Good Friday each year.

In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, shopping (especially vintage), reading, camping, spending time with her family, and taking her dogs for walks.
